CHERRY CREEK ON BRODIE ANNUAL MEETING, APRIL 8, 9:30 AM, SILK OAK PARK

Please put this on your calendar and make an effort to come and learn more about the neighborhood you live in. Our By-Laws require us to hold an annual meeting once a year. It is a great time to come and meet neighbors and get informed. We will be serving breakfast tacos!

Attached is our annual flyer that we will hand out on Monday. I’m still working on the agenda for the meeting and will post once it is finished.

I will be stepping down as president after the meeting. I’ll continue to help in whatever capacity I’m needed. I love living in this neighborhood and as long as I live here I want to help in keeping it a great place to live. There are a couple projects that I’ll see through until the end. Hoping someone will be willing to step up and fill my position. There are other positions that are available, secretary has been open for some time. Please consider taking a couple hours out of your month to serve on your neighborhood board and help keep Cherry Creek a nice place to live!

Thank You,
Carla Trautwein

FALL FESTIVAL was a Wonderful Success!!

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You to Kassidy Janicki and Patty Tilley for donating their time and energy in planning this event.  It was a great event with fun to be had by all!  Nick Tilley designed the invite (awesome job) and built a giant Jenga set for the event!

Also a Giant Shout Out to Chris Baker for donating his band for some fabulous music.

Without you all donating your time for the community we couldn’t have had an event like this.  Thank You So Much!

National Night Out 2016

header-NNO 2016Tuesday, October 4, 2016 is this year’s National Night Out from 7-9 PM!
Turn on your porch lights (remember to lock your doors) and come outside to visit with your neighbors!

National Night Out is designed to:

1.  Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness.
2.  Generate support and participation in crime efforts.
3.  Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police community relations.
4.  Let criminals know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.

Austin is considered a relatively safe city for its size.  But burglary and theft are some of the top crimes in our city.  Some of our neighbors in Cherry Creek have experienced this.  Homes have been burglarized and cars broken into.  We will be passing out information to help keep our homes and neighborhood safer.  We want to build our Neighborhood Watch again!  Several events are being planned around our community on NNO and will be posted here on our CCOB web site, Next Door, CCOB Facebook, and signs into the community.

4TH OF JULY PARADE, BREAKFAST TACOS, AND FRIENDSHIP

2016 4th of July Flyer

4th of July is coming up and we will be having our annual parade led by Chief Deputy Anthony Johnson and one or more of his fellow duties. We will be meeting at the front park and departing from there. Line up begins anywhere between 8:30 (on the early side) to 9:00 am. We will depart from there hopefully sharply at 9:00 am. Be patriotic and wear your red, white, and blue, help your children decorate their bikes and show off your creativity. After the parade we will meet at the back park for breakfast tacos and some clown fun with his fantastic balloons for the kids. Hope you can give your community a couple hours on 4th of July morning and make it the biggest parade yet!
